PITTSBURGH, PA – September 4, 2026— Award-winning singer-songwriter Cathleen Ireland will release her latest single, “Do You Care,” on September 4, 2026. Pairing emotional vulnerability with contemporary, rhythm-driven hooks, the song explores the confusion and lingering attachment left when a once-intimate relationship suddenly goes silent.
“Do You Care” captures heartbreak in the digital age, where blocking, ghosting and erasing someone from an online life can make a painful separation feel even more final. Ireland confronts that experience immediately with the declaration, “Bae, bae, block me / But you can’t stop me,” before admitting that she continues to sift through memories of the relationship.
“Do You Care” continues Ireland’s evolution as an artist who combines heartfelt storytelling with dynamic, groove-driven production. Her work moves naturally among pop, R&B, rock and adult contemporary influences, unified by her powerful voice, memorable melodies and willingness to explore complicated emotional territory.
Ireland has built a celebrated career defined by artistic versatility and international recognition. “Body For You” earned Honorable Mention in the R&B category of the USA Songwriting Competition, while both the single and its accompanying video became Five-Star-rated semifinalists in the UK Songwriting Competition. “DRIVE” received Best Adult Contemporary from The Artists Forum, and Ireland is a five-time Bronze Medalist in the Global Music Awards.
Her visual work has been celebrated at more than 105 international film festivals, earning 38 awards. Highlights include Best Independent Music Video honors for “ELEVATOR” and a Special Jury Award for “DRIVE” at the 2024 Thilsri International Film Festival.
A longtime fixture in Pittsburgh’s music scene, Ireland previously fronted Friday’s Child and theFIVE6 before founding Hot Weather Holiday. In 2026, she further solidified her standing among the region’s leading independent artists with Iron City Rocks Awards for Best Singer-Songwriter and Best Album for “In the City,” while its title track earned Best Single.
