Jamie Roxx started out in Detroit Michigan.  He then studied and obtained a Masters Degree in Fine Art Painting from the University Massachusetts' "Boston Fine Art Program".
After a Jack Kerouac-esque pursuit of painting subjects and life experience, Roxx found himself in many of America's famous cities, and spent a brief stint in New Orleans before settling down in San Diego. Roxx calls his style "Pop Noir" which he takes from his pop art, musical, artistic, and cinematic influences which inspire his work.
Roxx's painting subjects range from classic cinematic icons to the commercial products of his world, Rock stars and cultural icons.  Roxx also takes inspiration in the emotions, character traits, and stories of those he surrounds himself with in the fast pace track which he not only works but plays in.

His works display that razor sharp edge for which he is known in private collections, commercial businesses around the world. In 2001
The Rock Museum of Munich purchased his rendition of "The Beatles" . The painting is titled Fab Four and is one of the Museum's signature pieces.  In 2002 The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland acquired an original Beatles painting also.  That same year The Centre de Pompidou, Paris acquired one of his signature Marilyn Monroe paintings, establishing the artist.

Jamie Roxx's artwork is all one of a kind, and are original paintings.  At first glance his work is often mistaken as screen prints, however, they are all painted by hand.

He has created multiple CD covers for various rock bands and DJs. He has also had his work featured in a Target Stores' Christmas television commercial, and has had a painting appear on the breakout hit television show Will and Grace and various Bravo and E Channel television shows.

In 2011 Jamie Roxx relocated to Southern Florida were he now lives and works.
In addition to being a full time, working artist, in 2013 Jamie started his own digital radio talk show, The Pop Roxx Radio Talk Show.  Where he interviews, Bands, Musicians, Filmmakers & Celebrities from all over the world several times a week.

In February of 2015 Metal Babe Mayhem join various other businesses an official sponsor of Pop Roxx Radio and submits monthly guests to the show.
